We Are Twins and Today We Turn Three Years Old — Our Parents Are at War, but Our Grandmother Made Us a Cake and Filled the Day With Love

We are twins.

Today, we turn three years old.

Our parents are not here to sing to us or blow out the candles with us. They went to war, carrying courage in their hearts and love for us wherever they go.

But today was still special.

A Birthday Made of Love, Not Luxury

Our grandmother woke up early. She mixed flour and sugar, cracked eggs, and baked a cake just for us. Her hands moved slowly, but her love was strong.

She smiled at us like we were the most important thing in the world. And in that moment, we felt it—we were safe, we were loved, and we were not alone.

When Family Becomes Everything

We may be small, but even we understand that life is not always easy. Some children get balloons, big parties, and crowded rooms. We got something just as precious:

A grandmother who stayed.

A cake baked with love.

A birthday filled with warmth instead of fear.

Gratitude From Two Little Hearts

We are very grateful to our grandmother. She turned a difficult day into a memory full of kindness and hope. One day, when we are older, we will remember this—how love showed up even when the world felt uncertain.

A Gentle Reminder to the World

Sometimes birthdays are quiet.

Sometimes families are separated.

But love always finds a way.

From two little twins turning three today—thank you for reading our story and holding space for families who are missing someone they love.
