A Doctor’s Birthday Reflection — Gratitude, Care, and Simple Kindness

Waking Up Early

Today I woke up early, like I always do. I put on my white coat, took a deep breath, and remembered all the hands I’ve held… the trembling ones, the fearful ones, the ones I told “you’ll be okay” even when I wasn’t sure myself. 🩺🤍

Years of listening to stories, wiping tears, and trying to ease pain—sometimes with medicine, sometimes simply by being there.

The Humor in It All

After so many emergencies, so many rushing moments, so many people relying on me… today, my request is simple. 🌿

It’s my birthday.

I don’t need a party. I don’t need gifts. I just wanted to feel that, somehow, I was remembered too.

The Power of a Kind Word

If someone has ever cared for you in a hard moment, you may understand just how much a kind word matters today.

A smile, a note, a simple “thank you” — it can make even the busiest heart feel seen.

And today, that’s all I wish for. ❤️
