Today I Turned 32 β Learning That Even in Silence, My Life Still Matters

Today I turned 32 π.
Another year added to my life.
Another candle marking the quiet passage of time.
Birthdays are supposed to feel warm, remembered, and shared. I waited for messages, for simple words, for a sign that this day mattered beyond myself. But somehow, the silence was louder than anything else π’.
Living Outside the Expected Path
I know Iβm different.
My path has never followed the usual route, and my life doesnβt always fit neatly into what people expect or understand. Sometimes my difference makes others uncomfortable. Sometimes it causes them to step back instead of stepping closer.
And on a day like today, that distance feels heavier than usual.
The Heart People Donβt See
What many people donβt see is that behind every difference is a heart that feels just as deeply.
A heart that has loved.
That has endured.
That has hoped and kept going even when things felt impossibly hard.
A heart that still wants kindness.
Still longs for connection.
Still believes tenderness has a place in this world πΈ.
What Turning 32 Really Means
Turning 32 isnβt just about age.
Itβs about survival.
About growth shaped by quiet strength.
About becoming someone who knows pain β and still chooses softness.
Even if the world stayed quiet today, my existence is not small.
My story is not invisible.
Choosing Compassion for Myself
So today, I give myself what I was hoping to receive.
I offer compassion to my own heart.
I honor the resilience that carried me here.
And I remind myself that being different does not mean being undeserving.
My heart still deserves tenderness.
And it always will.
