Today Is My Little Girl’s Birthday — and I’m Watching a Life Just Beginning to Unfold
Today is my little girl’s birthday.
When I look at her face, it feels like staring at a canvas that’s only just beginning to be filled. There is so much life still waiting in her eyes. So much potential resting quietly beneath her smile. Every glance reminds me that I’m witnessing the very start of something extraordinary — a journey that hasn’t even fully begun.

As I watch her grow, I see mornings we haven’t reached yet.
Mornings filled with laughter, learning, and discovery.
Moments that haven’t happened, but somehow already feel familiar.
Her future is unfolding one breath at a time — full of experiences we can’t yet predict, but will one day treasure with everything we have.
What strikes me most is the strength I already see in her.
It’s not loud.
It doesn’t demand attention.
It doesn’t need to explain itself.
It lives in the way she smiles.
In the way she moves through the world with a quiet courage that feels far older than her years.
That strength will carry her — through challenges, through joy, and through all the moments in between that shape a life.
But more than anything else, I see a gift.
A gift that I get to love out loud every single day.
I am so deeply grateful to be part of her world — to hold her close, to watch her grow, and to witness the person she is becoming. My heart overflows with gratitude for every year we are given together, for every season we get to share side by side.
Grateful for another year with her right here in my arms.
Grateful for this moment — because I know how quickly these days pass.
No matter where life takes us, I will always carry the love I feel for her. I will always cherish this precious time we have right now.
Happy Birthday, my sweet girl.
You are my greatest joy, my greatest love, and the brightest light in my life. 💛
