Two years ago, this house was quiet. Too quiet.

Two Years Ago, This House Was Quiet
Two years ago, this house was quiet.
Too quiet.
Today, anyone who walks past the front gate can hear giggles echoing through the walls, tiny arguments over toys, and three little voices calling “mom” and “dad” all at once. What once felt empty is now overflowing—with noise, with mess, and with a kind of love we never knew existed.
When we first found out it wasn’t just one baby, but three, fear arrived before the cribs ever did. Our minds immediately started doing the math. Our hearts started praying.
Will we be enough?
Will we be able to give them everything they deserve?
Learning What “Everything” Really Means
The truth is, our children arrived already teaching us something important:
“Everything” isn’t about expensive gifts or huge birthday parties.
“Everything” is:
- A hug after a sleepless night
- Cutting the last slice of cake into three equal pieces
- Whispering prayers of gratitude for one more day where all three wake up healthy
Even on the days we wake up completely exhausted.
They taught us that love multiplies. That patience grows. That hearts stretch far beyond what we thought was possible.
Two Years of Mess, Magic, and Miracles
Today, they turn two years old.
We don’t know when time started moving this fast. Somewhere between diapers, late-night feedings, and first steps, the days began to blur. But we do know this:
Every handprint on the wall,
Every toy lost under the couch,
Every candle blown out on this cake
has been worth every sacrifice.
A Simple Wish
We’re not asking for presents.
Not today. Not ever.
If you ever remember them, let it be in a prayer, a kind thought, or a word of love. May blessings never be missing over any child who grows up surrounded by affection—ours and yours.
The rest…
God will take care of. 💛
