35-year-old transforms himself into a “Black Alien.”

We live in a world today where, in most places, people can express themselves in whatever manner they see fit (within reason).

There are exceptions, of course, but for the most part, individuals are freer than ever before in human history to experiment with trends, hairstyles, clothing, and body art.

This is undoubtedly a good thing. No one should be persecuted for the way they choose to dress or decorate themselves—just as no one should face stigma or demonization for opting for certain piercings or tattoos (provided they aren’t hateful or intentionally provocative).

That said, like it or not, there are still limits to what the majority of society is prepared to accept when it comes to body modification and self-expression. One man, 35-year-old Anthony Loffredo, may have pushed those limits further than anyone before him.

You see, when Anthony goes out to eat or simply takes a walk, he draws the attention of virtually every person who passes by. According to reports, he struggles to get job interviews—let alone a job—and is often turned away by taxi drivers. Some establishments won’t even allow him through the door.

Why, you ask? It has a great deal to do with his radical transformation into a character he calls the “Black Alien.”

While many adventurous individuals might stop at extreme tattoos, unusual piercings, or brightly colored hair, Anthony, who hails from France, has taken things much further. He has undergone a nose amputation, had both ears removed, tattooed his skin and eyeballs black, split his tongue in two, filed his teeth, and even had two fingers surgically removed.

He’s also had demonic symbols burned into his skin and horn-like implants inserted beneath it to give him a more monstrous appearance.

According to the Daily Mail, Loffredo, a former nightclub bouncer, says he is only 65 percent finished with the modifications he intends to make. One of his future plans reportedly includes amputating one of his legs to replace it with a biomechanical prosthetic.

Speaking about his appearance before the surgeries—which he claims to have lost count of—Anthony told the UK’s Channel 4 last year:

“Yes, [I was] happy, but not in the right body. It [wasn’t] my body, my real body.”
